The Major Impacts

There are usually earthquakes, volcano, and flood on Ecuador. On March 1987 a major natural disaster took place in Ecuador. As a result of a series of earthquakes whose epicentral were located in the north-east of the country.The earthquake caused direct damage to buildings in urban and rural areas in the provinces of Pichincha, Imbarura, and Carchi, were the cities of Quito and Ibarra are situated. They also caused landslide and floods in sparsely-populated rural areas in Napo Province.
History    The first spaniards landed to the north of Ecuador in 1526.Pizarro reached the country in 1532 and spread the terrorism amoung the Indians. After lots of fights and trouble in this areas of the city the independence finally came to Simon Bolivar on May 24, 1822. But the independent forces by Antonio Jose de Sucre.During the last of the 19th Century, the country flourished economically, mainly due to cocoa expotrs.In 1941, Ecuador was invaded by Peru and lost control.After World War II, Ecuadors economy recieved a boost due to the banana exports.In 1948 to 1960 was the time of peace and prosperity. But in 1979, Ecuador retured to a democratic Government.The actual leader of Ecuador is Raphael Correa since January 2007

Health issues
   Malnutrition and infant mortality are the country two basic health problems.In 1996, children under five years old had a 48% mortality rate. Major causes of death were cited as comminicable diseases, neoplasms, injuries, and circulatory system diseases. Malaria, which as recently as 1942 caused about one-forth of the death in Ecuador.Other health diseases are being controlled. The Yellow fever was eliminated by the efforts of Rockefeller foundation. In 1996, 186 new cases of AIDS were reported. The number of people of HIV/AIDS were estimated 20,000 in 1999.

History
Ecuador's modern history has had many trouble to get until what they are now. A long-standing, internal dispute between the conservative city of Quito and the liberal Guayaquil has at times boiled over into violence. Near the turn of the century, leaders on both sides were assassinated, and military dictators have ruled the country for most of its recent history. A very important person in Ecuador is Francisco Pizarro who landed in Ecuador in 1532, accompanied by 180 fully armed men and an equally strong lust for gold.

   Ecuador has passed through lots of thing over many years.They have gone from one government to another and also there leaders. But not only Ecuador have bad things to say about it, cause it also have good things.They do many celebrations and also they have a very cultural dance.Ecuador is a country where they have there good and bad things like in any other place. Also there culture is very interresting and have many place where you could go and visit.
